HapticLink Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-16
HapticLink is a haptic feedback bridge for cloud gaming on Android. This document describes what HapticLink does with data.
Summary
HapticLink does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
Data accessed locally
HapticLink uses the following Android permissions and APIs solely on your device:
- INTERNET — to display the GeForce NOW web client inside a WebView. No app-controlled servers are contacted.
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — to detect connectivity changes for WebView resilience.
- VIBRATE — to drive your device's haptic motors based on rumble events received from the cloud gaming service.
- WAKE_LOCK — to keep the screen awake while a streaming session is active.
None of this access results in any data leaving your device.
Third-party content
HapticLink loads the official GeForce NOW web client (https://play.geforcenow.com) inside a WebView. When you sign in and use that service, NVIDIA's own privacy practices apply to your interactions with their servers. HapticLink is not affiliated with NVIDIA and has no visibility into the data NVIDIA collects.
See NVIDIA's privacy policy:
Local storage
HapticLink stores the following on your device, in app-private storage:
- User preferences (haptic intensity, silence timeout, dual haptic mode toggle, band thresholds, selected effects, debug overlay toggle, User-Agent preference)
This data never leaves your device and is wiped when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
Children's privacy
HapticLink is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at minors and does not knowingly collect data from any user.
Your rights under GDPR
As HapticLink does not collect, store, or process any personal data on servers under our control, there is no personal data to access, rectify, port, or erase. If you have any concerns, you may contact us at the address below or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France: CNIL, www.cnil.fr).
Changes
This policy will be updated if HapticLink's data practices ever change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
